Editorial standards and evidence
Who is responsible
The project maintainer publishes under the public identity anissafeby29. The repository records changes. Content is prepared with AI assistance. No financial qualification or independent professional financial review is claimed.
What a source check means
Prefer the original central-bank, regulator or official publisher. Check the specific statement, unit, period and geography rather than treating a link as verification of the whole page. Keep a prior evidence date when a source cannot be accessed. A new paragraph does not renew every historical or macroeconomic fact on a profile.
Scope of the 2 November practical guides
The new transfer-cost, travel-budget and hedging guides link the sources consulted for their explanations: CFPB, ECB, Bank of Canada, SEC Investor.gov and Vanguard’s own share-class documentation. Their numbered examples use explicitly assumed inputs and checked arithmetic. They are not provider quotes or actual fund returns.
The leone unit checker uses the Bank of Sierra Leone’s stated 1,000-to-one denomination relationship. The DZD quote checker starts empty and uses the reader’s input. A fresh Bank of Algeria numerical observation could not be retrieved, so none is presented as verified.
Different dates describe different evidence
- Reference date
- The date of the saved exchange-rate snapshot; a currency may retain an earlier provider observation.
- Editorial date
- A recorded change to the page’s explanation or tools, not necessarily a new market quote.
- Source consultation
- A check of the linked material for the particular explanation identified. It is not an independent professional review of the site.
How corrections are handled
Prepare a correction with the page, statement and primary source. Public GitHub issues provide a visible discussion and change history. A draft is not submitted until you choose to post it there. Do not include private information. No response-time guarantee is offered.
Boundaries of the tools
Reference conversions omit provider-specific execution conditions. Cash simulations omit interest, tax, inflation, leverage and asset returns. Worked examples are labelled as assumptions. We do not rank currencies by expected profit, and institutional citations are not endorsements.
