Currency tools and device preferences
Simulator amounts, fees and custom exchange rates are processed in your browser. The site does not submit these values to a currency provider or include them in analytics events.
Your selected home currency, goal, spending currency and saved favorites are stored in local storage under currency-reader-preferences-v1. These functional preferences remain until you reset them or clear your browser storage. On a first visit, a browser-language region may suggest a home currency; there is no IP geolocation request.
The custom converter also stores its selected pair and entered rates on this device. “Reset preferences” on the homepage clears reader preferences; clearing site storage in your browser also removes custom converter values and consent choices.
Optional Google Analytics
Analytics loads only after you accept it. With permission, Google Analytics receives page views and standard usage information. Advertising storage, Google signals and advertising personalisation remain disabled. We do not send your currency preferences, favorites or financial inputs as analytics parameters.
Your analytics choice is saved on this device for 180 days. Use “Analytics settings” in the footer to reject, accept or withdraw permission. Withdrawal stops further page-view tracking and attempts to delete first-party Google Analytics cookies. Google’s Privacy Policy explains its processing.
Hosting, fonts and external links
Hostinger delivers the site, and Google Fonts delivers the typography. These services receive network requests, which may include your IP address and browser request information. External sources and GitHub have their own policies. Opening the issue tracker or submitting a report takes you to GitHub; reports may be public.
