History

  1. 1973 The Central Bank of Barbados issues its first national currency, the Barbados dollar, replacing the East Caribbean dollar; the first notes are issued on 3 December.
  2. 1975 In July Barbados ties its dollar to the US dollar at two Barbados dollars to one US dollar.
